At Compass Strategies, we seek to help our clients build positive, mutually beneficial relationships with government.  Every member of the Compass team possesses a wealth of experience and signficant contacts within selected industries as well as with federal and state government.  More importantly, each Compass Strategies team member is a partner in our clients' business development efforts. 

Many large law firms with lobbying practices tend to view government relations services as an "add-on" service designed to generate billings from their legal clients.  Large firms tend to focus on Fortune 500 clients rather than on emerging growth or middle market clients.  At Compass Strategies, we take a different approach.  While many members of the Compass team hold law, doctorate, medical and other advanced degrees from top tier universities, we don't practice law or medicine.  Instead, we strive to provide the best possible government relations and strategy services to our clients. 

We focus our representation on clients with market capitalizations between $50M and $10B operating in the following select core competency areas:  defense, healthcare/biotechnology, information technology and homeland security. 

Our consultants possess years of applied experience in their core compentency areas.  Our defense and homeland security consultants are veterans of Iraq, Afghanistan and Bosnia.  Our life science consulting team includes a medical doctor with a Ph.D. in medical science who has holds seven patents and co-authored a book on biomaterials.
