Compass Strategies, LLC is a business strategy and government relations firm representing life science and defense clients deploying some of the world's most disruptive technologies to the public and private sectors. We are focused on delivering quantifiable results for our clients in a cost-effective and ethical manner.
Our consultants have helped bring new cancer diagnostic devices to market, saving thousands of lives. We were the first to introduce biometric facial recognition systems to several state motor vehicle departments for use in driver's licenses. One of our client's technologies was even used to solve a fictional murder on the CBS television show "CSI: NY".

We believe that following a clearly defined process allows us to address our clients’ specific needs. Compass consultants work with our clients to clearly define goals at the outset and and we refine our efforts as the situation dictates. One business magazine referred to our process as "a modified Six Sigma approach applied to professional services".
1. Goal Definition: Compass Strategies works with our clients to determine long-term goals. We conduct a feasibility assessment to determine if the client's goals are attainable and ensure that the goals are clearly defined.
2. Strategy Development: Once the client's goals are defined, Compass develops a strategy and a list of interim benchmarks that help chart the client on a course to success. In the process of determining how we're going to achieve results, we outline specific steps and objectives relative to our client's goals. Compass Strategies then creates a plan that serves as strategic roadmap, thus helping our clients navigate the development process.
3. Execution: In the execution phase, Compass Strategies carries out the agreed upon strategy aggressively and ethically. Throughout the execution phase, we seek to be responsive and pro-active. We provide clients with monthly written progress reports so that the client is aware of our activities and how our activities are fitting into the client's overall business strategy.
4. Reassessment & Refinement: We continually ask ourselves and others "How can we do better?" We recognize that no initial plan remains perfect throughout the execution phase, so we adapt to changing conditions. We look to ensure that the course we originally planned is the right one. If conditions have change during the execution phase, we ask ourselves why. In doing so, we constantly refine and improve the strategic roadmap.
