HON. JOHN LOUGHLIN, LTC (R)
John is a Compass Strategies consultant specializing in defense and homeland security issues.
John's career spans years of service with the US Army, NASA, in the private sector and as an elected official. John retired from the Army Reserves after 30 years of service during which he served in various positions to include a rotary wing logistics advisor to the Iraqi government and a scout helicopter pilot.
While at NASA, John served as the senior producer for America's Space Program in Washington, DC. In 1992, he was recognized by NASA with an achievement award after producing and directing the NASA Town Hall Meeting series for then NASA Administrator Daniel Golden, and current NASA Administrator General Charles Bolden. He helped create the NASA Channel, developing and producing much of its' early content and programming. John left NASA to help launch The Military Channel, where he served at TMC's Vice President of News & Public Affairs programming.
John has also served as an elected state representative, was a candidate for US Congress and even worked part-time (1985-1992) as a stand up comic, where he opened for Denis Leary.
