Joe founded Compass Strategies, LLC in 2005 and has served as its' president and CEO since the firm's creation.
Prior to founding Compass Strategies, Joe was the executive vice president at a Boston-based government relations consulting firm. His clients range from Fortune 500 companies to venture-funded early stage start ups and have included companies such as Pfizer, PTC and Alere. Joe also worked at an investment firm that assisted private sector companies obtain capital through public and private placements and at an AmLaw25 law firm. He is the former executive director of a state political party, served as the finance director for a United States Senator, and as a finance consultant to a successful gubernatorial campaign.
Joe has been interviewed in several publications to include The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Herald and TIME Magazine. He is a past member of BioFlorida's legislative board and served on a statewide policy advisory committee for a previous Governor of Florida.
Joe is a veteran of both the Iraq War and the initial NATO deployment to Bosnia. He is a board member of the West Point Society of the Palm Beaches.
Joe graduated on the dean's list with a B.S. degree from the United States Military Academy and a J.D. degree from the Boston University School of Law, where he served as an editor of the Boston University Journal of Science & Technology Law. He has also performed graduate work at Harvard University.
He resides in the West Palm Beach, Florida area.
